A Hip-Hop classic returns

I spent many happy hours in the late 70s at the Mudd Club in Manhattan, where I knew a group of amazingly interesting people all at the cutting edge of popular culture. Among them, Michael Holman was a lightning rod to the universe of graffiti and Hip-Hop. Now he's remastering his classic documentary for the digital era. You can get in on the ground floor of this historic revival by visiting his crowdsourcing Kickstarter link

Thirty years passes in the wink of an eye. This really takes me back.

Winter residency in Venezia

I'm honored to receive a residency from the Emily Harvey Foundation for Winter 2013-2014. I'll be working on the second book of my historical trilogy, the finale of which is set in the streets of Venice, Italy.
